Description

When the Carter family are evicted from their car-repair business by a blustering landlord, it is time for change of lifestyle. Setting up home in the derelict Flockton railway station, optimistic patriarch Bob (David Neal, By The Sword Divided) decides to introduce the family to an exciting new venture - restoring and preserving their local steam railway and cutting a fine line through the verdant surrounds of West Somerset.
Taking up an agreement with Commander Frost (Alan Sharp, To The Manor Born) to restore a 1934 GWR engine dubbed the 'Flockton Flyer', it is full steam ahead for Bob and his family as they contemplate the free-wheeling adventures of life on the railway line.
Featuring all 12 episodes and also starring Sheila Fearn (George & Mildred), Peter Duncan (Blue Peter) and Gwyneth Strong (Only Fools and Horses), The Flockton Flyer is a classic TV serial in the heartwarming British family tradition of The Famous Five.
