Spy Mark (SAM NEILL) returns to West Berlin after a mission to find that his wife Anna (ISABELLE ADJANI) wants a divorce. She is having an affair, but insists that isn't the reason. When Mark hires a private detective to get to the truth, an even more disturbing secret is uncovered—Anna keeps a separate apartment housing an otherworldly, tentacled creature with a ravenous sexual appetite (created by special effects legend CARLO RAMBALDI of ALIEN fame). So continues the descent into a nightmarish maze of jealousy, carnality devoid of satisfaction, insanity, terror and murder—where identity and reality are almost impossible to distinguish.

    This is a great set! The movie is weird- watch it and decide for yourself how you feel about it... but if you like it, this is one of the best ways to get this movie. As an owner of the even more expensive Mondovision set (OOP) I can say this is also really nice and has one thing that doesn't- the UHD 4K disc.

    You can also just get the movie by itself from Umbrella. Don't be put off by Region B... its definitely region free or at least works fine on my region A player. The UHD disc is always region free anyway, but the region B bluray also works as well.

    The disc is perfect, but the deluxe is not worth it. The book is riddled with misspellings, missing letters and symbols, and becomes barely legible.
